The Town of Otis was founded in 1810 and is located in Berkshire County.
Considered to be a paradise for outdoor activities the town contains many lakes and ponds for swimming and water sports. With acres of public forests for those who wish to camp and go hiking, as well as snowmobiling and cross country skiing and hunting when the season is right.
The community is made up of mostly those who are retired but both residents as well as seasonal visitors continue to be involved in old fashion church suppers and several summer craft fairs along with block dances and also senior citizen activities.
